This page describes about RAM in project management.
Once the WBS is developed it is time to map resources to the activities. RAM is the short form of Responsibility Assignment Matrix used in project management. It describes assigned roles, responsibilites and competencies required for each of the work packages of the project.
Figure-1 shows RAM(Responsibility Assignment Matrix) template. It is derived using RACI format. Here R stands for "Responsible", A stands for "Accountable", C stands for "Consulted" and I stands for "Informed".
As shown in RAM work packages are listed on left side and different resources(people) are mapped on the right side with their specific roles.
